16 Feb Speakers and venue confirmed for BIAFD’s Spring meeting 2024
This year’s Spring meeting will take place on Thursday, May 9 at the Leonardo Hotel Hinckley Island, LE10 3JA.
Situated just off the A5, and just 20 miles from Birmingham Airport, the Leonardo Hinckley Island is the perfect location. Also, after a record number of delegates at the Autumn meeting, the hotel was specifically selected as it has both the space and the facilities required for yet another well attended event.
The programme is once again designed to cover issues the fastener distributor industry is currently faced with.
Returning by popular demand are customs experts Jamie Mcleod and Ian Worth of Crowe UK. Jamie and Ian will focus on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and provide members with the latest update.
Continuing the conversation on CBAM will be Andreas Bertaggia and Alex Kolodzic of the European Fastener Distributor Association (EFDA). Andreas and Alex will also cover the important work EFDA carries out on behalf of the industry.
The final session of the day will be undertaken by David Kivlin of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). David will be explaining how the HSE’s investigation process works and the importance of having the correct policies and procedures in place and staying on the right side of the law.
As always, there will be an opportunity for members to ask questions and have their say on industry developments.
All BIAFD members are eligible to attend these sessions, as well as joining fellow members for lunch and dinner.
The Spring meeting 2024 is kindly sponsored by the BIAFD’s associate member Cardinal Global Logistics. Cardinal Global Logistics offer highly engineered supply chain solutions, 3PL services, internet fulfilment, global freight forwarding, Customs Bureau and other bespoke solutions.
